Colourflo Bargello Needlepoint

What is Bargello Needlepoint?!

To keep you on your toes Bargello goes by multiple names such as Hungarian point, Florentine Stitch or Long Stitch. It is a type of canvas embroidery or needlepoint normally stitched using tapestry wool in straight lines to create fabulous geometric patterns. Generally you find one continuous bargello pattern on each design but my patterns are unique as I have combined patterns to keep you interested and offer something a little different.

Why should I try it?

Whether you are an adventurous  beginner or an experienced stitcher, there is a kits for you - with more being released each month!

The repetition and rhythm while stitching is extremely meditative, so relax and indulge your creativity (instead of scrolling on your phone!)
These portable kits fit through the letter box and are easy to slot into your hand bag to do on your commute, on your holidays  or complete from the sofa watching TV. Which will you choose?

A little bit more info...

The history and origin of bargello is widely contested and it is said popularity of canvas work peaked in the 17th Century after the designs were brought to Italy when a nobleman married a Hungarian bride. Works are now exhibited in the Bargello Museum in Florence in the form of tapestry wall hangings and upholstered furniture.
